Marriages & marriage contracts in Malta
This database brings together in a single grid the religious marriages (type M) and the notarial marriage contracts (type CM) recorded in Malta.
The Type column indicates the nature of the record. The Parish / Notary column shows the parish for a religious marriage and the notary for a marriage contract; for the latter, the Source column shows the act number.

There are two kinds of search:
- Search on one or more columns using the boxes below the column titles
- Search across several columns using the filters at the bottom of the page
In both cases, the search runs automatically once you have entered your search parameters.
You can use both types of search at the same time.
A search always returns every occurrence that starts with the criterion.
For example, typing "Gio" in the husband's first name returns "Gio Batta", "Giovanni", ...
You can also make searches more generic using the "%" operator.
For example, typing "Marg%rita" in the wife's first name returns "Margarita", "Margharita", "Margherita", ...
The clear button resets the column search criteria.
